Cover 10-12# ham with boiling
water. Toss in 1 tablespoon cloves
Stick of cinnamon
3 cloves garlic
1 cup vinegar
1 cup sugar
Let remain over low heat 3¼ hours (do
not boil). Turn off heat & let remain in liquor until cool -
at least 4 hours. Remove skin and pat in following mixture:
1 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon dry mustard
Dot with whole cloves
Place in pan - add ¼ cup vinegar, ¾
cup water and bake slow oven one hour. May be served with following
sauce in small saucepan:
1 teaspoon dry mustard
¼ teaspoon cloves
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoon vinegar
Gloss apple or crabapple jelly
