1 package gelatine
¼ cup cold water
4 eggs separated
1 cup sugar
½ cup hot water
2 tablespoon rum
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
½ teaspoon salt
Soften gelatine in cold water. Combine egg yolks, half of sugar and hot water, cook in double boiler until coats spoon. Add gelatine & cool. When mixture begins to thicken beat egg whites stiff - beat in remaining sugar, rum, and nutmeg, fold into the mixture. Pour into baked pastry shell and spread with thin layer of whipped cream.
