Fruit Cocktail

3 oranges
2 grapefruits
1 can sliced pineapple
1 lemon
3 cup sugar

Cover sugar with water-enough to make heavy syrup. Add lemon juice to syrup and cool. Dice fruit and pour all juice into syrup. Strain. Place fruit in cocktail glasses. When ready to serve pour on syrup which has been chilled. Apples and strawberries may be added.
